Josh Lucas' publicist says the actor's wife, Jessica, has given birth to their first child, a son, in New York. People.com said Noah Rev Maurer weighed 9 pounds, 4 ounces when he was born Friday. The 'Sweet Home Alabama' star wed the writer last March.

NBC staging 'Sound of Music'
NBC and the Hollywood producers of 'Smash,' 'Chicago' and 'Hairspray' are teaming up for a live broadcast of 'The Sound of Music,' a network executive said. 'It is our supreme pleasure to broadcast -- live -- a new version of the seminal Broadway musical 'The Sound of Music' for a whole new generation,' Robert Greenblatt, chairman of NBC Entertainment, said in a statement. 'There used to be a tradition of broadcasting musicals live back in the 1950s and we're thrilled to do it once again with a musical that has been a family classic for five decades. There is no more
talented and creative producing team than Craig Zadan and Neil Meron to bring Rodgers and Hammerstein's final -- and most beloved -- collaboration to network television in this groundbreaking live telecast." "It isn't our intention to produce a remake of the movie version of 'The Sound of Music' -- that would be artistic blasphemy," Zadan said.
"What we want to do, instead, is to give audiences completely fresh experience of this great Tony Award-winning stage musical in the form of a classic television event, combined with the spontaneity of a live performance. Justin Bieber graduates from high school
Justin Bieber, has officially graduated from high school. The "Boyfriend" singer quietly finished up all his required course work to earn himself a diploma as part of the 2012 graduating class of St. Michael Catholic Secondary School in his native Stratford, Ontario. According to QMI, a Canadian news service, Bieber did not turn up in person for the commencement ceremony that took place last Thursday night, but the 18-year-old crooner's name was included in the program.

Newlywed Camila Alves is heading back to her modeling days in her new role as Macy's brand ambassador for their private label, I.N.C. International Concepts, in a deal announced in Women's Wear Daily on Monday. "The Brazilian beauty, who hosted the third season of Bravo's "Sheer Genius" in 2010, will appear in the brand's TV and print ad campaigns come September.
